Text: Jonah 2:1-10

Jonah is a case study in what happens when someone does not embrace transformation. Change happens anyway. God has a way of bringing us around to His purpose. The belly of the whale was the turning point. That’s what it took to get Jonah back on track. Maybe you have been in a place like that? What lessons did you learn?

We saw last week that Jonah kept going lower. This week we know how low he went - to the bottom of the ocean. This entire chapter is a prayer. There are different kinds of prayers. There are prayers that we pray routinely. And then there are those prayers that come from deep within like words may not even be enough to express. By studying Jonah’s prayer, we are exploring the deep places of our own hearts and applying these lessons to our own lives.
