Sermon Title: Can a Person Lose Their Salvation?
Text: 1 John 2:1-6

During the months of June and July, I am preaching the sermons that you requested. I call it, “Hot Topics.” A hot topic can be a scripture that you don't understand, a question that you have or a subject that you think we ought to talk about. Each week is a different topic making this a summer series that you won't want to miss!

This morning’s sermon is a question that was requested by one person but one which I have often been asked, “Can a person lose their salvation?” You wouldn’t believe how many people have sat in my office and asked me this question. It’s a fair question to ask, and I think that every person at some time or other wonders where they stand in their faith. The short answer is this, if you are concerned about having lost your salvation, then you certainly haven’t. But I wouldn't completely rule out the possibility - which requires a longer explanation.
