It’s not the end of the story - we still have another chapter. Jonah still has some lessons to learn and so do we. Just like everything else in the book of Jonah, the ending is intentional. We are intentionally left with this unsettled feeling. Life in this fallen world is not perfect, and neither are we. We never really stop learning these lessons. These experiences are meant to change us - transform us - so that we never take God’s mercy and grace for granted.
