Good Morning Spring City Fellowship!

This week begins a three-week series on the Fruit of the Spirit from Galatians 5:22-23.. This first week we will talk about "Why Fruit?"

Fruit is a metaphor, an analogy which tells us something about spiritual reality.  Before Paul names the fruit of the Spirit, there was a whole discussion about fruit started by Jesus which John explores in greater detail.  So let’s begin our study of the fruit of the Spirit by talking about fruit.  Why fruit?   What does it mean?  How does talking about a natural resource that we all know and love make us hungry for the spiritual reality that only grows by the Spirit?
