Sermon Title: A Strategy for Transformation
Text: Matthew 28:19-20

Transformation is the inward change that we experience when we become more like Jesus. It is amazing to see the transformation of an insect which basically resembles a worm into a beautiful flying creature. Isn’t it also beautiful to see God transform a selfish, sinful person into child of God who reflects His image? Transformation is a process that is ongoing throughout our lives. See what beautiful things emerge as we embrace transformation!

While preaching on the fifth R - revival, I alluded to a strategy that is even better and more important than revival. How about instead of just waiting around for revival to happen - what if we focused on doing the thing that Jesus told his disciples to do before He told them to wait for the Holy Spirit? Making disciples is a long-term strategy. It is the ripple effect of a supernatural encounter with Christ. We get to be part of changing other people’s lives the same way God used other people to work His change in our life. Discipleship is generational transformation.
