I Corinthians 11:1-12:31
Filled with Honor

Corinth is the model for the Spirit-filled church. The two spiritual realities - the heavenly and the earthly reality were constantly clashing in Corinth. This series, the Spirit-filled church, seeks to answer the question, “What is the Spirit-filled church filled with?”

Honor is to have value and substance as a person. In human culture, it is the way that a group of people lends credibility and influence to an individual to represent them as a people. Honor, as a Christian, is not  primarily about how our behavior reflects on our community, but how well it represents or reflects our identity in Christ. And this is not just for some people, but it is true of everyone created in God’s image. Everyone is deserving of honor; ‌and the goal is to give it freely, so that everyone receives it.
